Perfect Memories for Craft on the Run

   Hi all,

I'm back to share my latest layout with you using the absolutely stunning Fairground Fun Mini collection from 3 Quarter Design

The colours in the collection are my absolute favourites.

The kit includes:
 3x 12"x12" themed papers
3x 3.8"x12" sheets matching elements and mats
A set of coordinating chipboard pieces.

First task was to fussy cut out all the elements and mats. Once all the cutting was done I distressed the edges and began to layer the elements onto my page. I began with making layers of strips as a base to put my 2x 4"x6" photos.

I adhered the photos and some of the elements with foam adhesive whilst others just flat on the page. This creates depth and dimension.

I finished the embellishing with two Flair buttons from Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happiness collection. And finally painted the chipboard titles "perfect" and "memories" before adhering them too the bottom of the layout.

Best day ever for Craft on the Run

Hi all,

I'm back to share my second layout with you using the Fairground Fun Mini collection from 3 Quarter Design

Included in the kit:
 3x 12"x12" themed papers
3x 3.8"x12" sheets matching elements and mats
A set of coordinating chipboard pieces.

I had previously already cut out all the elements.

I used a single 4"x6" photo and as always popped it up off the page using foam mounting tape. I created extra layers behind the photo using the photo mats and created a visual diagonal line from the top left to bottom right of the page with the elements and embellishments.

I painted the chipboard horse and finished with a couple of Flair Buttons from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

Hello spring for Twitchit Craft Kits

Hi all,

Did you notice home many 'SPRING' elements were in the Tropical Pink Heatwave kit from Twitchit Craft Kits.

I couldn't help myself I just had to create a Wreath layout with them.

I began with fussy cutting out all the florals from the 'summer floral'  page. Not gonna lie this did take some time.

Once cut out I place them around the page in a large circle to make sure I liked the placement. Once happy with that I glued some done to the page and others I adhered with foam tape for dimension.

I added in the spring tags and journal cards and added some die cut green leaves to fill in the wreath.

I matted my photo and adhered with foam tape to the left side of the wreath and carried the visual line across the page with the tags.

I tucked in some cotton thread behind the florals and finished with some gold splatters.

December for Craft on the Run

  Hi all,
I'm sharing another layout using the Beautiful
Winter Wonderland Collection from Mintay Papers.

Again for this layout there was some fussy cutting involved. I choose a piece of white textured cardstock from my stash as the base and added a four inch stripe of the snowflake page across the top of the page.

To that I then layered diagonally from top right to bottom left the frames and photo mats. Once the base was complete I went about embellishing with all the fussy cut elements. I layered some with foam tape for dimension, some in behind others and some on top. I made sure that all the elements were touching. this helps them to look grounded rather than floating in space.

Finally I added some chipboard pieces and called it done.

I plan on using this page for our 2020 Christmas so I have left the photo mats bare.

Check out below for some close up photos.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I have inspired you in some way today.

Happy Crafting xx

Merry and Bright for Craft on the Run

Hi all,

I'm up on the Craft on the Run blog today sharing my latest layout using the Beautiful Winter Wonderland Collection from Mintay Papers and let me just say this collection is truly stunning.

As soon as I saw the snow globe page I immediately wanted to make a giant snow globe shaker page.

Now I'm not going to lie this did present a challenge some what.
But I was determined.

To began to slowly cut around the inside of the globe with a scalpel. I cut around the most predominant images on the page and left a border approx 1/4 inch thick around the entire globe (this is needed to hide and adhere the tape which gives the dimensional lift and allow the shaker sequins to move around). I then cut around the outside of the globe with scissors.

Next to make the shaker. Now we have the cut out we need to make the window. For this I used a piece of acetate and glued to the backside of the shaker and cut off the excess. To create the dimension I used double sided foam adhesive and cut thinly enough to hide behind the shaker.

Next I glued the shaker to the base page. I had chosen the same paper as the base. I left a gap big enough to pour the sequins in at the top before closing up the shaker.

Now that the shaker was complete I went to work on embellishing with the elements from the cut a part sheet and chipboard pieces.

I am yet to add a phot as I want to save it for my Christmas 2020 photos.

I hope I have inspired you in some today.

The gift of giving for Twitchit Craft Kits

Hi again,

Christmas is fast approaching. Today I am sharing another layout created with the Christmas Traditions kit from Twitchit Craft Kits.

I am yet to add a photo as I would like to make this collection for our 2020 Christmas.

For this page I began with cutting the Tags from the Tags  page.
I added a hole and twine as well as distressing the edges.

I layered these around the photo mat with dimensional foam tape.

I clustered the embellishments using a visual triangle around the page, however I then decided it wasn't balanced right so I tore a strip off down the right hand side and added a strip red merry christmas paper.

I added an extra embellishment cluster down on the bottom right to finish off the page.

You can view my previous layout and blog using Christmas Traditions here:

Countdown to Christmas for Twitchit Craft Kits

Hi all

Have you seen the new Christmas Traditions kits from
 Twitchit Craft Kits.

Take a look at my first page layout using the kits.

I was inspired by the Numbers paper and wanted to recreate a Christmas Countdown page.

My first step was to cut up the numbers page and distress the edges.

I layered the together and built dimension foam tape. and added a space for my photo.

I the used the elements from the sticker sheet, ephemera pack and chipboard sheet to add embellishment clusters around the page.

As you can see I have not yet added a photo. But I have now have layouts ready and waiting for that festive time of year.

revisiting the Home Again kit from Twitchit Craft Kits

Hi all,

Today I wanted to revisit the Home Again Kits from Twitchit Craft Kits. I still have quite a bit left from the kit and came up with these two quick and easy layouts.

As always I Distressed the edges and popped things up with dimensional foam. I kept both layouts fairly simple and just used what I had left from the kits.

Beautiful for Paper Passion Posh

Hi all,

I am sharing my latest layout for Paper Passion Posh using the 3D Butterfly cut file.

You can get the cutfile here:
listing/796373192/butterfly-svg-3d-butterfly-svg-printable?ref=shop_home_active_3

I cut the butterfly fairy large on white textured cardstock.

I used the September Moodboard for my inspiration.

Using my Silhouette software I created a stencil with smaller butterflies which I then scrapped some texture paste through for my background. Once dry I went to work with some mixed media.
I didn't have the right colour so I mixed various Pink and Blue Lindy's Magicals to get the purple I wanted.

Next I stamped some flowers and leaves onto watercolour cardstock, painted them with Lindy's Magical's and cut them out.

I layered them around the photo and around the page.

I kept the back of the butterfly white so that it would stand out against the background.

My Title was made using a die from Paper Rose.

I finished off with some pearl dots scattered around the page.
