You are my world

Hi all,

Kylie here and I'm excited to share my first layout using the June DT kits for Craft on the Run.

What is in the kit:
From Maja Designs.
Denim & Friends collection: Summer Shirt, Globetrotter, Wood, Blazer
Denim & Girls collection: Love my jeans, Loose fit
Kaisercraft cardstock: Lemonade, Marble
Versa Color ink pad: Umber
Chipboard title: Love these moments
Assorted Flowers

For my first page I couldn't go past the Globetrotter page. It just screemed at me to be used. I cut the globe out, distressed the edges and inked the edges using the Umber ink pad. I then choose the Summer shirt page as my base which I added some extra interest by inking around the edges and also through a stencil.

Next step was to add some layers behind my chosen photo. I used the pattern papers from the kit and again distressed and inked the edges. I adhered my photo mat with dimensional foam tape for added dimension and added my title using mini foam thickers from my stash.

To start the embellishment clusters I cut out some extra paper flowers from the pattern papers. For this I used a flower die and big shot and used them to create a base for the flowers from the kit. I also added a tag for interest.

To finish I used Nuvo vintage drops worn navy to accent the flower clusters.

Loving Every Second for Paper Passion Posh

Hi all,

Today's layout was created for Paper Passion Posh using their gorgeous Heart Wreath cutfile.

I chose to use the Happiness collection from cocoa vanilla studio.

I enlarged the heart wreath and cut it out on the happiness meadow paper.

For the base page I chose white textured cardstock and jazzed up with some splatters using orange and alizarin crimson Brushos watercolour crystals around in a circle where the heart wreath will lay.

I used some foam tape to adhere the heart wreath down creating depth. Then set about layering my photo. I used mostly scraps from the collection but managed several layers.

Next I set about embellishing. I used the Happiness so fresh paper to cut out the flower wreath and built my clusters in a visual triangle. The title I cut from the Happiness little things paper and matted on the back side of happiness botanical bliss paper.

I added a few stickers and ephemera pieces to finish.

This layout was a tonne of fun to create. I hope it inspires you in some way.

SKETCH IT for Craft on the Run

Today I'm sharing the June sketch challenge for Craft on the Run Design Team.

Here's a look at the sketch

I created three layouts following this sketch.

For the first I used Dreamer collection from Mintay with white textured cardstock as my base. I stamped and heat embossed in gold embossing powder my flower stamp on the background before layering the band across the middle. Then I fussy cut a bunch of flowers and bird and clustered together. I popped some up with dimensional foam tape for added interest. I choose 3 black and white photos to pop from the page. The title "lovely" was from my stash. I finished of by added some blue nuvo crystal drops.

My second page was created using the Urban Garden collection from Uniquely Creative. Again I stamped and heat embossed the background on white textured cardstock and clustered the fussy cut flowers. I added a butterfly and some gold thicker hearts from my stash before finishing off with some gold splatters with Kaisercraft gold mist and gold nuvo drops around the page.

Finally my third layout though incomplete without photos (I just couldn't find the right match but wanted to do a masculine layout)

I followed the sketch again only this time I swapped the flowers for clogs and arrows. I used mostly the Workshop collection from Kaisercraft with a few extra die cuts from my stash.
