Beach Day for Twitchit Craft Kits

Hi all,

I am super excited to be using the Deep Blue Sea kit from Twitchit Craft Kits today. You may or may not have noticed from my previous layouts that we spend a lot of time at the beach. It's our most favourite thing to do. This kit is absolutely perfect for scrapping the beach. Oh my Heart!!

I knew right away that I wanted to create a sea scene with the whales and boats from the papers and stickers. To do this I simply tore the Red/Navy page into roughly one inch stipes
and adhered each strip carefully only gluing along the bottom edge so I could rough up the top edges to create the look of the sea.

I used the Sail Away page as the base.

Next I fussy cut the Whales, Lighthouses, Octopus and boats from the Borders sheet and frames for the Tags and Frames pack. I grouped each element together and layered them slightly under the waves. I used a couple of foam dots to give them dimension off the page.

I matted my photo using the Anchors page both side A and side B. I distressed the edges to match the waves and layered the tags and frames behind the photo.

I used the Beach title from the sticker sheet and cut the word "days" from another sticker to create the title.

I finished with some phrase stickers around the page.

I hope I have inspired you  in some way.

Ride the waves for Twitchit Craft Kits

Hi all,

I am back again with my third layout using the Deep Blue Sea kit from Twitchit Craft Kits. Another beach layout. I haven't even gotten to the stars yet....

Get your kit here:
https://www.facebook.com/TwitchitCraftKits/

Once again I started with the woodgrain paper.
I added a 4 inch strip of Nautical page to the top of the page and to that a added a blue ripped strip.

I used two 3x4 photos on this layout which I matted with the papers Anchors and Sail Away and distressed the edges.

To the bottom of the page a added two more ripped blue stripes along with a stripe of the Sailor Stripe paper.
To this I added a small cluster of whales, a boat and a lighthouse all cut from the Border Sheet paper.

To finish I embellished around the photos using more stickers from the Element Sticker sheet and pieces from the Tags and Frames pack.

I hope I have inspired you  in some way.

Epic for Paper Passion Posh

Hi all,

Today I'm sharing a layout I created using the Direction Sign cut file from Paper Passion Posh.

You can get the cutfiles here:
https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/PaperPassionPosh?ref=search_shop_redirect

I cut the cut file on plain black cardstock and back using
the Legendary collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.
I adhered it down in the top right, running slightly off the page, with foam tape to give it a lift.

I matted my photo using leftovers from the collection and distressed the edges for a rough look.

I built three clusters of embellishments drawing your eye around the page and added some enamel dots and black splatters.

I hope I have inspired you in some way.

Sweet times for Paper Passion Posh

Hi all,

Today I'm sharing a layout I created using the Lace Borders cut file from Paper Passion Posh.

You can get the cutfiles here:
https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/PaperPassionPosh?ref=search_shop_redirect

I cut the cut file out 4 times on white textured cardstock. My aim was to colour them and layer them on top of each other flowing down the page. I have chosen the Better Times Collection from Mintay Papers to compliment the lace borders.

Next I got messy with some mixed media. For the blue I used Brushos watercolour crystals Cobalt Blue. For yellow I used Brushos Lemon. The pink I mixed Brushos Alizarin Crimson and Lindys Magicals Oom Pah Pah Pink and the green I used Tattered Angels Chalkboard Mist in Mantis. I also used the pink mix to add some splatters onto my background.

I decided I wanted to add a border down each side, however this made the lace borders too long so I cut them down to fit the page better. I used the rainbow stripped paper MT-BET-2 for the striped border. This is were I drew the inspiration for the colours I chose.

I fussy cut the butterflies from the paper MT-BET-05 and the other elements from MT-BET-09.

Finally I added some chipboard accents and finished with some gold splatters and Nuvo Crystal Drops in Apple Green around the page.

I really enjoy using the Lace Borders cut file and getting my mixed media on for this layout. I hope I have inspired you in some way.

Drive

Hi all,

Today I'm sharing a layout I created using the vintage cars cut file from Paper Passion Posh.

You can get the cutfiles here:
https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/PaperPassionPosh?ref=search_shop_redirect

I enlarged the car so it was big enough to go across the page.

The collection I'm using today is True North from Uniquely Creative. I started by backing the cut file using the Dress Shirt paper and Game On paper for the wheels.

I used the Going Places woodgrain page as the base for my layout and added a two corner pieces of the back side of the same paper. Next I simply stacked the embellishments running from the top right hand corner flowing to the bottom left hand corner of the page.

To finish I added the title Drive.
